What a Poem Is Not
Poetry fun with nouns, verbs and adjectives!
This activity is perfect to do at the beginning of a poetry unit. The poem could be written individually or in small groups and involves questioning the students and recording their answers. Ask them the same questions after you have delivered your poetry unit to show progression. The activity includes word classification and alphabet skills.
