This unit contains three worksheets that focus on developing students' understanding of plot elements within a story. Each worksheet is a flexible template that can be adapted to any story or book. The first two templates in this unit require students identify and draw or write about the problem and solution in a text. Students need to respond critically to the text on the last template by thinking of a better or different solution to the problem, with reasons why their solution is better.
