Use estimation when adding fractions
In each question in this unit students are presented with an incomplete equation e.g. 3/4 + 2/6 ò ____. students need to circle the answer that is closest to their estimation then justify their answer in words e.g. 'because 3/4 is almost 1 and 2/6 is almost 0, 3/4 + 2/6 ò Close to 1.
