Persuasive text: Promotional book blurb

This e-unit contains three versions of a promotional blurb for a novel, catering to the varying levels of students. Students will look over 'Return to Planet Dread', before working through a series of questions. The four sets of questions provided give students a purpose for reading the blurb, address the key skill of literal thinking, deepen understanding of particular words and why they were used and evaluate the effectiveness of the text. Answers are also provided for selected questions to assist the teacher with marking.
