Writing on a theme of 'a bad day'

Poetic, expressive and transactional writing tasks

This unit consists of a short, original text followed by three activities to develop writing skills. The activities reinforce poetic, expressive and transactional writing skills by requiring students to re-write the text from a different point of view, write a diary account of a bad day they have had and/or write a formal letter from the point of one of the characters in the text. The text is a narrative about a boy called Finn who had a very bad day.
