Solve multiplication facts with knowledge of 2s, 5s and 10s
Students learn to work out multiplication facts from what they know about twos, fives and tens. For example, students can use their 2 times table to work out the equation 3 x 4 = ___ by expanding it to (2 x 4) + (1 x 4). The first task requires students to use their knowledge of the 5 and 10 times tables to work out that 7 x 10 has the same answer as 15 x 5.
