Solving multiplication problems with arrays
Can your students work out how many pieces of rice bubble square can be put in each packet? In this unit students revise using arrays to solve multiplication problems. The first activity supports students with their working by showing pictures of rice bubble squares as arrays. Students must complete the word and number problem based on each picture. In the next two activities, arrays are represented by shaded boxes.
