This engaging whole-class lesson provides the basis for a weeks worth of oral language activities; containing a session overview, a well-known rhyme, independent worksheets and an oral language activity. The teacher begins each session by retelling the rhyme 'Old Mother Hubbard' to the class before working through a series of fun and interactive exercises. Activities include a 'How many syllables' flashcards session, synonym brainstorming and a session to practice sentence work.
