Count forwards and backwards in tenths
Decimals
The number and variety of questions in this unit provide plenty of reinforcement for students learning to count forwards and backwards in tenths and hundredths. The first two pages contain hollow grids in which students need to fill the gaps by counting on or back from the given numbers. There are also two grids for students to create this type of task for a partner. Page four contains four number lines with specific covered numbers. Students need to write the two numbers that come after each shape, e.g. 23.4, 23.5. students are required to fill the gaps in the tables showing a tenth before and after on the final two pages, before answering some questions about number order.
