Use reversibility to solve division problems
How well can your students 'reverse' an equation in order to solve it more easily? This unit relies on students' knowledge of multiplication facts to solve division problems. For example, to solve 108 ~ 9, students calculate 9 x 10 = 90 and 9 x 2 = 18. Students add these two products to create the equation 9 x 12 = 108. 12 is the answer to the original equation.
