Group objects in 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s
The delightful illustrations in each activity in this unit assist students in understanding the concept of grouping. In Activity 1, students need to calculate how many children remembered to bring their rugby boots to practice by circling the groups of two boots. Students revise groups of three by dividing up boxes of wheels for three-wheeled go-karts and organising triathlon teams for each room of a school. In the final activities, students make boxes of 5 pieces of fudge and sell 10 sausages per family at the school fair.
