Skip count backwards in tens
A variety of tasks in this unit reinforce skip counting backwards in 10s. The first activity provides a page full of number lines for students to draw rabbit jumps on as it runs away from the farmer. Activity two requires students to help the monkeys climb down their trees safely by circling the number path they should use, then writing the number path (sequence) at the bottom of the tree. The final activity explicitly illustrates how skip counting in tens can be a quick way to find the total of a larger group.
