Using groups of 10 and 100 to solve subtraction problems
This unit contains a range of activities using groups of 10 and 100 to solve two and three digit subtraction problems. In the first 4 activities students must break numbers within a problem into groupings of 10 and 100 to manipulate them more easily for solving equations. In the final activity a banner flying from a plane breaks a problem into three parts to be solved using groupings of 10 and 100.
