Working with five
This range of activities scaffolds students' understanding of multiples of five. In the first task students record the number of groups within each picture and write a corresponding repeated addition sum. From there, students either group given images into groups of three or draw their own images and group them. Activity three is an engaging picture that requires students to skip count in 5s. The final two activities in this unit ask students to write basic multiplication equations following given examples.
