Use place value to manipulate numbers up to 99
A range of activities to practice using place value to manipulate numbers up to 99. Your students will love the first task in this unit which requires them to cut and paste a new 'ones wing' on to each beetle to create a new number, then order the new totals from smallest to biggest. Task two uses the same imagery without the cutting and pasting to reinforce understanding of place value in two digit numbers. Some word problems and then an exercise on identifying the value of an underlined numeral in a two digit number complete this unit.
