Make groups or patterns to 5
Add more bees around each flower or eggs within each nest to complete the pictures of groups of 5. Students also practice recognising groupings within 5 by studying apples, worms, apple cores and carrots! The pictures within this unit could also be used as a basis for writing equations as an extension exercise.
